Automatic updates

The desktop app checks for new releases on launch and every six hours. When a newer build is available you get a prompt with the release notes and a one-click download — pilots always stay on the current version. You can also check manually from Help → Check for updates. All in-app screens load live from PulseCheck, so feature updates arrive instantly without reinstalling.

Builds are currently unsigned — macOS and Windows show a one-time confirmation on first launch.

These builds are unsigned

PulseCheck desktop builds aren’t code signed yet, so your operating system shows a one-time confirmation the first time you open the app. It’s safe to continue — on macOS right-click the app and choose Open → Open; on Windows choose More info → Run anyway. Signed releases will remove that prompt once certificates are in place.

macOS

Unzip and drag PulseCheck into Applications. On first launch, right-click the app and choose Open to get past the unidentified-developer prompt. A .dmg installer is produced by the release pipeline.

Windows

Unzip and run PulseCheck.exe, choosing More info → Run anyway if SmartScreen appears. Setup .exe (NSIS) and .msi installers for managed rollouts are produced by the release pipeline.

Linux

Download the .AppImage, mark it executable and run it — no extraction. A .deb is also produced by the release pipeline.
